Kind regards, Olivier -------- Message original -------- Sujet: Yet another IPv6 deployment statistics Date : Tue, 18 May 2010 18:02:01 +0200 De : Eric Vyncke (evyncke) Pour : http://www.vyncke.org/ipv6status/ (based on prior work from Mark Prior) daily runs some tests on multiple international (read non US :-)) sites and check whether there is any IPv6-enabled web, email and DNS servers for this site. It aggregates the statistics by DNS TLD (assuming that TLD = a country -- I know gross estimation) and results are not really what I was expecting. The top 25 sites (from Alexa) from several TLD are taken into consideration. If you leave the mouse on green/orange box, some more data is displayed: RTT, MTU, MSS, ... I really welcome any comment and suggestion Hope this helps -?ric PS: the issue with US as a country is that there are not so many US sites having a .US domain name :-( -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... In an effort to share more of this data publicly, we are pleased to announce the Hurricane Electric BGP analysis toolkit (BGP is the routing protocol used between the core networks of the Internet). Check out statistics about your network! http://bgp.he.net * Free IPv4 and IPv6 DNS hosting Hurricane Electric now offers free DNS hosting. This service provides both native IPv6 and IPv4 authorative nameservice, supports A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, TXT, SRV, and PTR records, as well as IPv4 and IPv6 reverse zones. http://dns.he.net * Attention Sages! Hurricane Electric would like to send you an "IPv6" T-shirt! Please log into http://ipv6.he.net/certification/, and verify your address information which will only be used for shipping out this T-shirt. After making certain it is correct (remember to click "Update Info" if you made changes, before validating), you will see T-shirt size selections for S/M/L/XL/XXL, and a button that will submit your preferred shirt size and log that you have validated your address. This is optional, and will only be sent to validated addresses. We'll be adding on some points to your score for Sages that want to get a T-shirt! We are looking to get the t-shirts out around the end of June. We need make sure to get enough of each size before sending them out to all of you. * IPv6 Deployment Growth Of the Alexa top 1 million most popular websites on the Internet, there are now 2082 running IPv6 for their main website. Of the 34651 networks in the world running BGP, the number running IPv6 has increased to 2227, or 6.4 percent.
