I am particularly happy to hear that your firm would be interested in hosting a mirror of the current Docklands IPv6 Matrix hardware set-up in one of your data centres in India, once you achieve IPv6 connectivity across your network, which should be within the year. We'll have to study this in further detail closer to the date. I hope that you've found the APNIC course useful and that this will bring you closer to having IPv6 implemented. FYI - the deck of slides which I used in my presentation is available on: http://www.slideshare.net/ocl999/ipv6-matrix-project-isoc-chennai You can also browse a larger, more complete presentation which provides details of hardware, software, and how to surf the Web site on: http://www.slideshare.net/ocl999/ipv6-matrix-project Good luck for the next year, and I look forward to receiving good news that your network is all IPv4-IPv6 Dual Stack! Kind regards, Olivier -- Olivier MJ Cr?pin-Leblond, PhD http://www.gih.com/ocl.html From ocl at gih.com Sun Jul 3 17:32:09 2011 From: ocl at gih.com (Olivier MJ Crepin-Leblond) Date: Sun, 03 Jul 2011 18:32:09 +0200 Subject: [IPv6crawler-wg] Follow-up to ISOC Chennai / APNIC IPv6 Seminar In-Reply-To: <4E1091B5.8070302@gih.com> References: <4E1091B5.8070302@gih.com> Message-ID: <4E109989.3010008@gih.com> Hello all, just to let you know that this presentation, along with many others, are linked from: http://www.ipv6matrix.org/reports So far, recently I have presented the project at: - IGF (Internet Governance Forum) Ukraine, Kiev, March 2011 - Russian IGF - ISOC Meeting in San Francisco, February 2011 - ISOC Meeting in Singapore, June 2011 - ISOC Chennai IPv6 meeting in Chennai, India, June 2011 - APNIC IPv6 training Session in Chennai, India, June 2011 i also sent out a version of the presentation at World IPv6 Day on 8th June 2011. As you can see, there is much momentum going on at the moment. IPv6 is starting to be in the news and more than 1700 people viewed the presentation for IPv6 Day. Our results are taken very seriously, and the IPv6 Matrix Project is seen as a reference. Each time I present the project, I speak about all of the sponsors and thank them - that means YOU. I am however concerned that there appears to be *no movement* on the front end Web Pages. They are hard to navigate, and also we're now reaching a point where some more analysis would be helpful. I understand the problems facing Nile University - having spoken for a long time to Nashwa Abdel Baki who was at the ICANN meeting in Singapore. But with all of the work on the front end currently being halted, I cannot wait without having some kind of plan of action in place, for the development and completion of stage 1 of this project - especially working out the bugs. Moustafa, I am therefore awaiting feedback from you and your colleagues. Yes the IPv6 Seminar achieved what I wanted to, and I am hoping India Starts moving to it fast. We are already dual stack inside the network but wanted to be sure before we took it online. There were a few mistakes that I think we made and are fixing them now.. Once we test everything, and our ISP's provide us an IPv6 Uplink, we are all set to go. Thank you for the link to the Presentation and the Other Details. Look forward to hosting your crawler soon. Attached is a Pic of Yours I took while you were speaking, Unsure if this captures you in the Best Spirit, but it does capture the moment, with the Slide Showing IPv4 Exhaustion. Take care, and Hope to speak to you soon. regards Gagandeep -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
