From ocl at gih.com Thu Feb 26 18:14:04 2015 From: ocl at gih.com (Olivier MJ Crepin-Leblond) Date: Thu, 26 Feb 2015 19:14:04 +0100 Subject: [IPv6crawler-wg] IPv6 Matrix February 2015 results Message-ID: <54EF626C.3050206@gih.com> Dear Ilda, Desiree, Christian, Tim, just a note that earlier last week we have completed another IPv6 Matrix run and I have transferred and added those results to the results on the Web server. We now have approximately 253Gb of raw (text) historical data dating from August 2010 until now, showing the growth of IPv6 data sources worldwide. A subset of this data is analysed and shown graphically on the IPv6Matrix.Org Web site at http://www.ipv6matrix.org/ As this is one of ISOC's longest running Community Projects thanks to the ongoing support from the University of Southampton and as we are far, very far from seeing a predominant use of IPv6 across the Internet, this project still has plenty of ground to cover, if only by continuing its monitoring of the world's largest information provider Web Sites for IPv6 connectivity, but also by opening the door to more analysis and presentations at IPv6 related events. How about posting this up - a tweet and a post to UKv6 council linked in page? Tim - a thought crossed my mind. Is there scope to suggest a project to grad students to apply the data usefully perhaps by mashing it with other sources of v6 adoption? a v6 hackathon?
